Stephanie Kennedy
Panther Cheer Athletics
Stephanie is one of the founders of Panther Cheer Athletics, Richmond's first and only competitive cheer program. Competitive cheer is gaining in popularity for many reasons. It is a FUN activity that combines all the athletic components of sport such as strength, power, flexibility, endurance, fitness and mental tenacity. It also helps athletes increase their body awareness and self-esteem and develops leadership and communication skills. Athletes in this sport work towards developing skills such as tumbling, jumping, stunting, performance skills and team work. In addition, one of the athlete's favorite components, DANCE is incorporated into the routines as well. In BC alone, we have over 4000 athletes registered in either community, school, University or all-star cheer. Over the past six years, PCA has grown and become known as one of the top cheer programs in BC. Most importantly, PCA athletes, parents and coaches are repeatedly recognized as demonstrating exemplary sportsmanship within the cheer community. PCA teams have also continuously placed in the top of their respective divisions winning numerous local and international titles.
