February: Shelley McDade: Sunshine Coast Credit Union
Shelley McDade is the newly appointed CEO at the Sunshine Coast Credit Union located in Gibsons, Sechelt and Madeira Park, B.C. She has worked in the financial services sector for 30 years, most recently as Chief Operating Officer with Sunshine Coast Credit Union and EVP, Mergers and Acquisitions for Coastal Community Credit Union. Shelley has also held roles as VP, Operations, SVP, Human Resources, Manager of Marketing and managed Insurance and Wealth Management divisions. In the last three positions she managed complex conversions of banking system technology. As an avid supporter of the co-operative business model, Shelley serves as the Vice Chair of the Open Solutions Inc. National Client Association representing credit union technology needs. She also serves and as a founding Director of the Solution Center which is designed to provide scope and economies of scale for 24 small and medium sized BC Credit Unions. Shelley’s community service includes 10 years as Chairman and/or Vice Chair of various economic development organizations on Vancouver Island and the Sunshine Coast where she has been an advocate of merging community resources for enhanced performance. In addition, she is a past Director of the Vancouver Island Health Authority and the Marketing Association for Credit Unions. Having a passion for change management she has provided information and resources to 120 Credit Unions in Alberta, Saskatchewan and Manitoba for major technological or merger transitions and has spoken at various conferences regarding similar topics. To support her experience Shelley attained her MBA through Aspen University in May 2009.

MISS 604: Rebecca Bollwitt
Born and raised in the Vancouver area her first website hit the wires in 1997, and her career in digital media began in the fall of 2000 as she helped build an international webcasting company from the ground up. As such, she relocated to Boston for some time before returning to the Lower Mainland in 2003. In love with all things West Coast and the Canucks, Rebecca produces live blogs for clients and conferences, and is a co-host of both RadioZoom and The Crazy Canucks podcasts. In the spring of 2008 she co-founded sixty4media, a social media consulting firm where she develops WordPress websites, is hard-core into code & theme development, and runs all daily operations. Rebecca is not only a blogger but a social media consultant, helping your business grow online and off using the latest community-building tools and applications. Her company’s main focus is the sixty4media design and creation of custom websites using WordPress.

Tzaddi Gordon is a web designer and founder of ThriveWire Media. ThriveWire creates beautiful, intuitive web sites which are easy for non-geeks to update. ThriveWire's clients include businesses of all sizes as well as communications agencies who value Tzaddi's expertise in WordPress content management system. Originally trained in fine art at Emily Carr, Tzaddi became hooked on the creative possibility of the Web in the late-90's. Over her years in the field she has trained in design, programming, usability, and Internet marketing. She worked on TELUS web sites for about 7 years before going solo in 2007. Tzaddi lives with her husband in Roberts Creek where she regularly lets her two energetic dogs convince her that it's time for a hike.

Leah Goard is the founder of Intentional Spaces, an Organizational Consulting Company that provides individuals, entrepreneurs and businesses long term, customized, organizational solutions, support and implementation. Leah is a Trained Professional Organizer (TPO) with a background in health and financial management and business development. A busy mom, partner and business owner, Leah deeply understands the dynamics of balance and the direct impact organization has on the quality of our lives and businesses. In this session, Leah will talk about the intimate and often complex dance we do with our time, discuss ways to identify the root cause of our challenges and provide strategies to better manage one of our most valuable commodities - our time.

Niv Harris, MA Niv brings over 20 years of experience in program development, teaching and training, mentoring, and coaching based on leading edge cognitive and psychological theory. She has a successful business as a professional speaker, futurist and consultant specializing in applications of psychological theories of personality type to business relationships and interpersonal communication. Popular topics include: Solution Thinking, Brainology, People Reading, Aging with Wisdom, Lighten up Means Brighten Up :Humour in the Workplace, and Wellness. In addition to her University of Toronto MA, Niv counts among her tool set 20 years experience with Myers-Briggs and Kiersey-Bates Type Temperament Assessment, Adlerian Therapy, Control Theory, Jungian Theory, Reality Therapy and Whole Brain Learning. She holds certificates in Myers Briggs Type Indicator Assessment, Strong Interest Inventory, Unified Transition Theory, True Colors, and Personality Dimensions, and is a Certified Practitioner of NLPT (Neuro Linguistic Programming).

Her new position as Loans Manager (since January 2009) builds on her 10 years of commercial lending experience and business advisory service through the organization.
A majority of time at the job is spent with entrepreneurs - counseling and advising them on all issues from business plans, start-up and expansion of existing business.
She also moonlights as the occasional bookkeeper at her spouse’s business: Deluxe Landscaping – a full-service landscape installation company and retail landscape supply and nursery.
Sharon can relate to Entrepreneurial Mom’s as she has two children who are now 12 and 16 and has worked full-time as a parent.
She is going to talk about how to work well with your banker when you are seeking funding for business start-up or expansion.
